The Full Story

My name is Martin Bjorå, originally from Norway, now based in Brooklyn NY, but still frequently worsk in Oklahoma City. I work as a Production Sound Mixer, Boom Op, and UST, with ten years of experience in sound. 

 

At 16, I landed an apprenticeship at a sound studio in Oslo—Universal Sound (now Nr14)—where I learned the ropes. Starting from cleaning and making coffee, I gradually moved up to engineering voice-over, dubbing, and ADR sessions. By 17, I had my first nationally televised mix on Norwegian TV. I pursued further education at The Norwegian School of TV Production, earning a bachelor's degree in Sound Production for Single-Camera TV Production.

It was during my time in college where I started getting into production sound and field recording. I started buying gear, and now production sound has become my full-time focus.

In 2021 I moved to OKC with my wife (who is born and raised OKC), and lived there for 3 years until we moved to Brooklyn in the winter of 2025.
